Diptyque L'Ombre dans l'Eau Eau de Toilette is a floral fragrance for women. The story began in a garden where Mrs. Merwin, a close friend of Diptyque's founders, was cutting roses and blackcurrant bushes to add the rose petals to her potpourri. The unexpected combination of crushed blackcurrant leaves and rose petals served as the inspiration for one of Diptyque's most iconic creations. Created in 1983, the scent centers around the lush intensity of Bulgarian rose, lifted by the crisp green freshness of blackcurrant leaves. True to its name ("Shadow in the Water"), the deeper elements are perfectly balanced by a cool freshness, evoking the serene memory of an idyllic garden by the water's edge.
