Matiere Premiere Vanilla Powder Extrait is a luxurious niche fragrance from the French brand Matiere Premiere, created by perfumer Aurélien Guichard. The perfume extract belongs to the oriental-gourmand and woody fragrance family and is a unisex composition suitable for both men and women. Thanks to the soft, powdery and creamy character of vanilla, the scent is often perceived as especially elegant on women, although its calm woody-musky profile makes it universal.
The fragrance is built around the main ingredient of the composition — natural vanilla from Madagascar.
In the Extrait version, the perfumer intensified its character by increasing the concentration of vanilla absolute and adding an additional accent — tonka bean absolute from Venezuela. As a result, the composition sounds richer, deeper, and more velvety while maintaining the soft and powdery texture of the original fragrance.
The composition opens with a soft woody-creamy accord.
In the top notes, palo santo can be perceived — a rare woody note that gives the fragrance a warm, slightly smoky and creamy character. It creates a feeling of calmness and highlights the soft nature of vanilla.
